This year’s Environmental Award at the D15 Annual Business and Community Awards was won by an ISO 14001 certified provider of managed hosted IT services, Servecentric. They saw off strong competition from IBM, Symantec and International Warehousing & Transport Ltd. to scoop this year’s award.
Eileen Uí Mhurchú, Project Manager with Servecentric, stated “the fact that we have an ISO 14001 Environmental System gave us the confidence to enter the Environmental Award. We have established an EMS which has opened our eyes to the environmental issues and has helped up perform our operations in a more environmentally friendly fashion”.
There were 250 guests in attendance at the awards this year which were held last month at the Castleknock Hotel and Country Club. The awards recognised the achievements of the business and community sectors and were attended by the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Ken Farrell, Deputy Leo Varadkar along with other Councilors.
